Purpose

Sling mounts are intended for suspending pipes used in ground and underground mine excavations in methane and non-methane fields classified as "a", "b" or "c" degree of methane explosion hazard and class A or B class of coal dust explosion hazard, also in shafts and on the surface.

Components of sling mounts

Sling mounts are a complete set consisting of a clamp, a technical chain and bolts.

Two types of steel clamps are used: A (load capacity up to 700 kg) and A+B (load capacity up to 500 kg).

As standard, it is made of S235 steel (on customer's request, a different type of steel with at least the same strength as S235 steel can be used).

The operational load of a sling mount technical chain is 5300 kg. It is made according to the PN-EN 818-2 standard (dimensions: 13x39x22.1), but it is possible to adjust its dimensions to the customer’s order.

We use M16 mounting bolts with mechanical properties ≥ 4.8, but, on customer's request, it is possible to use bolts with other dimensions and other, not worse, properties.

The load capacity of a sling mount should be selected according to the weight of individual pipeline sections and their diameters. Chains, clamps and bolts should be prepared in advance. The distance between the chains depends on the diameter of the pipeline, the type of transported medium and the temperature. Clamps should not be mounted directly on flanges, sleeves, connectors or other fasteners.

Each element of a sling mount can be used and offered separately.

Properties

Sling mounts are resistant to aggressive environments, high humidity and corrosion.
