Purpose
Cast iron fittings are used for quick, multiple and easy installation on HDPE and PVC (also antistatic, flame retardant and non-toxic) pipes and fittings. It is intended for use in ground and underground excavations of mines in methane and non-methane fields classified as "a", "b", or "c" degree of methane explosion hazard and class A or B coal dust explosion hazard, also in shafts as well as on the surface.
Cast iron fittings are suitable for connecting pipes intended for the transport of, among others, non-flammable liquids, water, water solutions, brine, inert gases.
The cast iron fittings include:
A straight tube-flange connector is used for the construction of pipelines by connecting bare ends of pipes and fittings by means of a flange connection. By unscrewing a few bolts, you can easily access the system, for example for cleaning, maintenance or extension of the pipeline.
The connector consists of a body and a pressure ring made of ductile iron with an anti-corrosive epoxy coating and electroconductive paint, a flexible EPDM rubber gasket with a pressure ring allowing for axial deflection of ±3.5o on each side, stainless steel M16 bolts and acid-resistant steel nuts.
The connector also includes caps that protect the ends of the bolts and an integrated flange gasket.
A straight socket connector is used for the construction of pipelines by connecting bare ends of pipes and fittings. This connector gives great flexibility and is very easy to install. It has an axial deflection of ±3.5°, which facilitates installation on large diameter pipes. By unscrewing a few bolts, you can easily access the system, for example for cleaning, maintenance or extension of the pipeline.
A socket connector mainly consists of a ductile iron body and a pressure ring with an anti-corrosive epoxy coating and electroconductive paint, a flexible EPDM rubber gasket with a pressure ring; stainless steel M16 bolts, acid-resistant steel nuts and caps securing bolt ends, and a flexible gasket for easy installation on large diameter pipes.
The clamp is used for installation on HDPE and PVC pipelines, including antistatic, flame retardant and non-toxic ones. It allows for making an outlet with an appropriate threaded connector with BSP1", 1¼", 1½ ", 2" thread, e.g. to connect a sensor, fittings or a hydrant. Durable easy to install and maintain.
A clamp primarily consists of a ductile iron body with an anti-corrosive epoxy paint and an electrically conductive paint. The lower part of the clamp is made of stainless steel.
Other components are a short BSP thread not exposed to contact with the medium, an EPDM rubber gasket approved for drinking water, bolts, nuts and an SBR rubber gasket that covers the inner surface - it reduces a cast iron clamp’s contact with a pipe surface.
A tapping is used for installation on the existing HDPE or PVC pipeline, including antistatic, flame-retardant and non-toxic pipelines. It allows for an outlet or connection of a new supply line without interrupting the flow using an appropriate threaded connector with BSP threads of ½ ”, ¾”, 1 ”, 1¼”, 1½ ”, 2”.
The built-in drill bit cuts the pipe and ensures quick and hassle-free installation. Once the hole is cut out, the saddle clamp acts as a normal connection valve.
A tapping is made of nodular cast iron with anti-corrosion epoxy paint coating and with electroconductive paint. It is integrated with the drill bit and the connection gate valve. In the upper part of the drill hole there is an SBR seal attached to the pipe.
The spindle seal consists of an NBR scraper, two NBR O-rings inside and two plastic bearings on the outside.
The bolts and tapping washers are made of stainless steel. The nuts are made of acid-resistant steel with an anti-friction coating.
The stainless steel from which the drill is made ensures neutral taste. The EPDM rubber, from which the seals and O-rings are made, is certified by the National Institute of Hygiene.
Properties
Cast iron fittings are resistant to aggressive environments, high humidity and corrosion.
Durable and easy installation of fittings.
Elements of the fittings may be used on pipelines laid on a firm floor or suspended on slings.
Production range
Nominal diameter: from DN 16 to DN 300, nominal pressure up to PN 25,
The pressure value of the cast iron fittings used determines the value of the working pressure of the pipe used,
Working temperature: up to 70oC,
Maximum flow velocity of the medium: liquids up to 4m/s, gases up to 30m/s.
